To compliment the range of machined PTFE rotary shaft seals, MOONTOWN offers a range of metal cased (rubber coated with style MCRT) rotary shaft seals for more arduous gas and liquid sealing duties.
The compact design helps close the gap between conventional rubber seals and mechanical seals.
Available in a choice of metal cases, including stainless steel, and a range of blended PTFE lip materials, these seals offer excellent chemical resistance and are capable of running at speeds up to 30m/s. Designs can also tolerate pressures to 35 bar and temperatures from -20°C to +250°C.
Various lip combinations are available to suit specific applications. |

SHAFT SPECIFICATIONS
Plunge grinding without lead is the preffered method of finish.
SHAFT FINISH
Lubricating media 0.3µm Ra.
Non-lubricating or abrasive media 0.2/0.4µm RA
Vacuum < 0.2µm Ra.
MATERIALS AND HARDNESS
Hardenable steel or cast iron is the preferred choice.
Shaft hardness of 40 to 65 HRC is recommended for hydraulic oil at 0-15 bar.
For pressure greater than 15 bar and for use with non-lubricating and/or abrasive media, 58 to 65 HRC is recommended.
*Denotes non-preferred case od size
